Dame Sarah Storey plans to return to competitive cycling as soon as possible after her first child is born.

The 35-year-old from Cheshire, who rides for the Breast Cancer Care team, is expecting to give birth in June.

Storey took her Paralympics gold medal tally to 11 with four victories at London 2012 and was named a dame in the New Year Honours list.

A former swimmer, she is married to fellow Paralympic gold medallist Barney Storey, a tandem pilot.

Storey's team, formerly known as VioRed Racing Team, will partner with Scottish Cycling and compete in road races across the United Kingdom and Europe.
