Exeter City sign Bristol Rovers defender Danny Coles

Danny Coles first signed for Bristol Rovers on loan in November 2007

Exeter City have completed a deal to sign Bristol Rovers central defender Danny Coles.

Coles was in the same squad as Exeter boss Paul Tisdale in their days together at Bristol City.

Hespent six years at Ashton Gate before joining Hull in 2005 then, after a short spell on loan at Hartlepool, he first joined Rovers in November 2007.

Coles made 103 appearances for the Pirates, including three last season against the Grecians.

The 29-year-old has been linked with a move to Exeter following the arrival of Paul Buckle as the new Rovers boss.

Exeter have followed their usual policy of not revealing the length of players' contracts.
