Arsenal's Brazilian midfielder Denilson has re-joined his former club Sao Paulo on a season-long loan.
The 23-year-old joined the Gunners from the Brazilian side in 2006 but lost his place last season thanks largely to the emergence of Jack Wilshere.
He only made 16 Premier League appearances as Wenger's side finished fourth in the table.
"This is an opportunity for me to play regular first-team football," Denilson told the Gunners' official website, external.
"I move away from Arsenal with sadness because I have so many friends at Arsenal.
"I'm now focused on doing well in Brazil next season but will always be looking out for the Arsenal results."
Denilson has made 153 appearances for the club, scoring 10 times, but failed to win a trophy during his stay.
