Inverness have signed teenage Spanish defender Roman Golobart on a season-long loan from Wigan.
The 19-year-old, who can also play centre forward, joined the Latics from Espanyol in July 2009 and signed a contract extension in May 2010.
"Roman is a huge lad and we're delighted to welcome him to Inverness to help bring out his potential," said Caley Thistle manager Terry Butcher.
"The recent spate of injuries has shown how stretched our pool is."
Owain Tudur Jones, Lee Cox, Billy McKay, Josh Meekings, Kenny Gillet and David Proctor are all sidelined for the Highlanders, while Ross Tokeley is suspended for Saturday's visit to Aberdeen.
"I'm pleased that the board have given approval to extend the budget to bring in another player," added Butcher.
