Kettering Town have placed every one of their first-team players on the transfer list.

A club spokesperson told BBC Radio Northampton, external the decision was "in response to recent results and the financial issues related to that".

The club also say manager Mark Stimson has fully backed the unorthodox move.

Kettering had already made 11 players available for transfer in September, once again for a combination of footballing and financial reasons.

The Poppies are 19th in the Blue Square Bet Premier and Saturday's FA Cup exit to Sutton United means they have won one in their last five games.

That victory was an FA Cup qualifying defeat of Essex Senior League outfit Southend Manor.

Stimson confirmed on Monday that the players had yet to receive their full wages this month.

But it remains to be seen whether that is linked to the decision to place the whole of the first team on the transfer list.
