Fulham have signed 18-year-old winger Ryan Williams from Portsmouth on the final day of the transfer window.

The Australian, who has made six appearances for Pompey this season, appeared for Fulham's reserve team in their 1-0 win over Wolves on Monday.

"This is a good opportunity for Ryan to move to an established Premier League outfit. We wish him all the best," said Portsmouth boss Michael Appleton.

Both the size of the fee and the length of the deal are undisclosed.

Williams made his Portsmouth debut in August's 2-2 draw with Middlesbrough.

He also appeared as a substitute in the Championship side's 4-0 FA Cup defeat by Chelsea in January.
