Crawley Town have completed the signing of former AFC Bournemouth utility man Shaun Cooper on a free transfer.

The 28-year-old left the Cherries earlier this summer after turning down a new contract.

Reds director of football Steve Coppell told the club website: "Shaun gives us is two things; vast experience of this division and versatility.

"He can operate in defence or midfield and we are delighted we have managed to bring him to Crawley."

Cooper had been on trial at Crawley before manager Sean O'Driscoll left to take charge at Nottingham Forest.
