Grimsby's winless start to the season continued as they failed to find a way past newly-promoted Nuneaton.

Andy Brown came close to giving Nuneaton the lead but shot over, while Mariners midfielder Joe Colbeck had an effort well saved by Neil Collett.

Sub Greg Pearson should have won it for the hosts but he fired wide from six yards after good work by Aswad Thomas.

Grimsby have two points from three matches, while Nuneaton picked up their first point of the campaign.
