Scunthorpe United have signed free agent Karl Hawley on a short-term deal and fellow striker Leon Clarke on a three-month loan deal from Charlton.

Hawley, 30, who was a free agent after leaving Notts County at the end of last season, has signed a deal with the Iron until January.

Clarke, 27, will officially join the League One strugglers on Saturday when the loan window re-opens.

Both could make their debut in Saturday's game with Sheffield United.
