Dele Adebola has joined Conference leaders Wrexham on loan from Rochdale until the end of the season, subject to international clearance.

The much-travelled 37-year-old striker has fallen out of favour at League Two side Rochdale, making just three appearances since the turn of the year.

He scored four of his six goals this season in September, with his last strike coming back in December.

Wrexham hope to complete the deal in time for Tuesday's match at Barrow.

Andy Morrell's side are currently top of the Blue Square Bet Premier and will play at Wembley on 24 March in the FA Trophy final against Grimsby Town.

"I've been trying to bring someone in for a few weeks now," said Morrell. "I'm pleased to get Dele in, he'll help tremendously up top. He'll take a bit of pressure off the lads that are involved in the squad."

Adebola moved to Spotland after a trial at Burton following his release in the summer by Hull City.

The Nigeria-born forward has scored 166 goals for 12 clubs over a 19-year professional career.
