New AFC Telford boss Liam Watson has made three more signings as he bids to rebuild the Shropshire club following relegation back to Conference North.

Watson has made two signings from the club with which Telford have swapped places, promoted Blue Square Bet North champions Chester - midfielder Matty McGinn and full-back Wes Baynes.

The Bucks have also signed winger Mike Phenix from Skelmersdale United.

Watson had already brought in two players from his former club Southport.

Winger Sean Clancy arrived the day after Watson took over on 3 May, followed last week by centre-half Simon Grand.

Watson has already offloaded six players, Steve Leslie, Ryan Valentine, Steve Jones, Michael Briscoe, Marco Addaggio and Alex Meechan, who ended the season as number two at the Bucks Head to caretaker boss John Psaras.

Meechan has since been installed as assistant manager at another relegated Blue Square Bet Premier side, Barrow.

The Bucks, promoted to the Conference top flight two years ago for the first time since their 2004 reformation, were relegated on Easter Saturday, finishing 19 points adrift of safety.
