Jamaica international wide midfielder Jermaine Johnson has signed a new one-year deal with Sheffield Wednesday.

The contract ties the 33-year-old to Hillsborough until summer 2014.

Johnson, who has appeared for Jamaica in their two recent World Cup qualifying matches, is the Owls' longest-serving player, joining in January 2007 from Bradford.

He has made 224 appearances for Wednesday, including 45 last season, when he scored seven goals.
