Lincoln City sign Ben Tomlinson from Alfreton Town

Lincoln City have signed Alfreton Town striker Ben Tomlinson for an undisclosed four-figure fee.

Tomlinson, 23, only joined the Reds from Macclesfield Town just before the start of the 2012/13 season on a two-year contract.

But Imps manager Gary Simpson knows him from their time together at Macc and Tomlinson has signed a two-year deal at Sincil Bank.

He made 46 appearances for Alfreton last season, scoring 14 goals in total.
