Rochdale sign Robbie Thomson & Javan Vidal ahead of new season

League Two side Rochdale have signed goalkeeper Robbie Thomson and defender Javan Vidal after successful trials.

Thomson, 20, recently left Celtic having failed to play a senior game for the SPL champions and had loan spells with Stenhousemuir and Airdrie.

He has agreed a one-year deal, while ex-Manchester City youngster Vidal joins on non-contract terms.

The 24-year-old ended last season at Stockport County, making four appearances in the Conference Premier.
