Alfreton Town 3-1 Kidderminster

Dan Bradley was on target twice as Alfreton overcame last season's play-off semi-finalists Kidderminster.

Bradley redirected Josh Law's low free-kick for the opener before Kyle Storer struck the home side's bar with a 30-yard strike.

Paul Clayton teed up Tom Shaw for Alfreton's second and Bradley secured his brace with a finish from distance.

Storer netted Kidderminster's only goal late on with an effort from the edge of the area.

Alfreton manager Nicky Law:

"The lads were excellent. We knew we had to be at our best. Big John Akinde has come in and made a world of difference for us.

"We have gone in front and Kidderminster have done what they do and that's pass the ball, get it wide, get in the box, put some great delivery in the box and if I am honest, Kidderminster are a lot better than last year.

"If we had come up against a Kidderminster side as good as that last year we would have come in 4-0 down at half-time and we would have lost that game five or six nil, and that is testament to us.

"It's a good all-round performance. They are a good side and especially at 3-0 down they are having a go and I thought the back four was magnificent - the whole team was. They have left nothing on the pitch.

"They may believe in themselves a bit more now. I certainly believe in them and they have set themselves a marker now."

Kidderminster manager Steve Burr told BBC Hereford & Worcester:

"The only disappointment for me is we didn't win because I'm very happy with the way we're playing. Anybody here tonight could see in the first half, if you don't put your chances away like we didn't, you'll struggle to win games.

"Everything they seemed to hit tonight went in. We were a little bit disappointed with a couple of goals they scored.

"But I don't want to take anything away from Alfreton, it's normally been a happy hunting ground for me, but I thought our play was very good, but the only thing we were missing goals."
