Glenavon have completed the signing of midfielder Shane McCabe, who has been playing gaelic football for Fermanagh.

According to the club's website McCabe has given manager Gary Hamilton "the assurances he required that he is fully committed to Glenavon".

McCabe, who has also played for Dungannon Swifts and Glentoran, left Portadown to play for his native county in GAA in February 2012.

The move is the latest in a busy summer of activity at Mourneview Park.

Lurgan Blues boss Gary Hamilton has also acquired the services of Gareth McKeown, William Murphy and David Rainey.

Defender Mark Haughey left the club to join Linfield.
