Wolves sign teenage Wrexham striker Bradley Reid

Wolverhampton Wanderers have signed teenage Wrexham striker Bradley Reid for an undisclosed fee thought to be about the £200,000 mark.

But Reid, not 18 until 15 October, needs to finish his education, and will rejoin Wrexham on loan for a month before starting his Molineux career.

Meanwhile, out-of-favour Wolves defender Georg Margreitter is to rejoin his old boss Stale Solbakken.

The Austrian is to spend a season-long loan with Solbakken's FC Copenhagen.

Margreitter was signed for Wolves by Solbakken a week before the end of last year's August transfer window for an undisclosed fee from FK Austria Wien.

But he made just one league appearance, as well as featuring in two League Cup ties.

As for Mold-born Reid, who made the ninth appearance of his brief Wrexham career in Saturday's 2-0 home derby defeat by Chester, Wolves admit that they came close to bringing him to Molineux before.

"Bradley is actually a player who we nearly signed at Under-16 level," Wolves head of football development and recruitment Kevin Thelwell told the club website. "But unfortunately, at that stage, he suffered an injury."

The Wales Under-19 international signed a new three-year contract earlier this year.

But, after making his first-team debut for Wrexham against AFC Telford on Boxing Day last season, he scored his first goal in a 2-2 draw at Tamworth in August - and his potential has persuaded the League One club to now make their move.
