York City bring in Josh Carson and Elliott Whitehouse

York City have signed midfielder Josh Carson until the end of the season and Sheffield United midfielder Elliott Whitehouse on a one-month loan.

Carson, 20, who played five games on loan with the Minstermen last season, was a free agent after his release by Ipswich over the summer.

Whitehouse, 19, has made five appearances for the Blades.

The duo are likely to go straight into the squad for Saturday's League Two match against Mansfield.
