Atletico Madrid's Diego Costa is wanted by both Brazil and Spain.

Luiz Felipe Scolari says he will select Diego Costa for Brazil despite interest from Spain in calling up the striker.

Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa holds a Spanish passport and has said he is willing to play for La Roja.

The 25-year-old played for Brazil in March but appeared only in friendly matches, so could still switch allegiances.

Brazil coach Scolari said: "Spain should respect Brazil's right to choose its players."

Brazil have friendly matches against Chile and Honduras in November as they prepare for the 2014 World Cup on home soil.

Scolari added: "We intend to pick him again. We want to be able to better analyse him.

"He is a Brazilian who has been performing well with Atletico Madrid.

"When Diego played for us the first time we heard about his satisfaction to be defending the colours of Brazil and that's still the case.''
