Torquay United 1-3 Exeter City

Torquay fell back into the relegation zone as Exeter returned to winning ways with victory in the Devon derby.

Gulls striker Karl Hawley saw his early penalty saved, after Liam Sercombe's foul on Billy Bodin, and Exeter went ahead via Tom Nichols' long-range shot.

A superb solo goal from David Wheeler made it 2-0 to the Grecians before the hosts pulled one back when Hawley converted Elliot Benyon's cross.

But Alan Gow's clinical finish with five minutes left made sure of the win.
