Preston North End have signed winger Kyel Reid on a two-year contract.

The 26-year-old will join the League One club on 1 July when his current deal at Bradford City expires.

Reid spent three seasons with the Bantams and helped them win promotion via the League Two play-offs in 2013.

The former West Ham youngster missed the second half of the 2013-14 campaign with a serious knee injury, but successfully completed a medical to seal his move to Deepdale.

"He is on his rehabilitation still at the moment, but we did an extensive two-day medical and everything is fine," Preston manager Simon Grayson told the club website., external

"He is determined to come back fitter and sharper than he was this time last year, so we had no hesitation in doing the deal now and I am delighted that we have done it."

Reid added: "I was just pleased that they had that interest, even though I'm not fully fit at the moment. I'm not 100% but I'm not far off."
