Jake Gosling: Bristol Rovers sign former Exeter winger

Gosling made his international debut for Gibraltar in May

Winger Jake Gosling has joined Bristol Rovers following his release by Exeter.

The 20-year-old Gibraltar international came through the Grecians' academy and played 16 games for their first-team, scoring once.

He had loan spells with Dorchester and Gloucester last season before being let go by Exeter.

Rovers have not disclosed the length of the contract handed to Gosling, who becomes their third signing since their relegation to the Conference Premier.

Strikers Matty Taylor and Jamie White have also moved to the Memorial Stadium.

Speaking about Gosling's arrival, manager Darrell Clarke told the club website: "Jake is a creative midfielder who can play either side and off the striker.

"He comes here at a good age, and he will be trying to kick on his career while he is here with us. He is a kid with big potential, and I look forward to working with him."

Gosling made his international debut for Gibraltar in May in a 1-1 draw against Estonia, and scored his side's first away goal since joining Uefa.

Rovers chairman Nick Higgs added: "He is an exciting young player, and I wish him every success here.

"Darrell is rebuilding his squad for next season, and Jake is another welcome addition."
