Swansea City: Boss Garry Monk hopes to sign De Guzman

Swansea manager Garry Monk is hopeful of securing a deal to take Jonathan de Guzman back to the Liberty Stadium.
The 26-year-old midfielder, part of the Dutch squad at the World Cup, has been on loan at Swansea for the past two seasons from Spanish club Villareal.
"Behind the scenes we are talking to his agent and monitoring the situation," said Monk.
The manager added that no "concrete" offers have been made for either striker Michu or defender Ben Davies.
Reports have linked Michu with Italian side Napoli while Wales international Davies is being chased by Tottenham.
De Guzman was on the bench for the Netherlands' dramatic penalty shoot-out win over Costa Rica in the World Cup quarter-finals on Saturday.
Monk confirmed the midfielder is "somebody that we are definitely looking at".
"He's done well for us in the past. I don't want to bombard him with phone calls and texts," continued Monk.
"I want him to concentrate on what they [the Netherlands] are doing because they are doing well."
Monk denied reports that Napoli have made a bid, external for Spanish striker Michu, who scored twice in 17 Premier League appearances last season, when he was hampered by an ankle injury.
The striker, who scored 22 goals for the Swans in the 2012-13 season after signing from Rayo Vallecano, was absent from training on Friday.
Monk said he was due to hold talks with the 28-year-old before the club head off on their pre-season tour of the United States.
"He scores goals and with that type of pedigree he's always going to attract interest and rumours," said Monk.
"Of course I want him to stay. If an offer goes in and it's the right offer and the player feels he wants to move on, then you have those discussions.
"We'll have a chat and see what's the best way forward but as far as I'm concerned he's a Swansea City player and I'm hoping to have him for next season."
Welsh international left-back Davies has also been linked with a move away from the Liberty Stadium with Tottenham reportedly interested in the 21-year-old.
Davies trained with the club on Friday and Monk expects him to be on the plane to America.
"He's a Swansea City player. Until I'm told differently or Ben's told differently that's the way it will be.
"As it stands right now nothing has come in for any of the players."
