Wigan Athletic have accepted an improved Leicester City bid for James McArthur, BBC Radio Leicester reports.
The 26-year-old Scotland midfielder is having a medical and discussing terms with the Premier League newcomers and is set to join for a fee close to £7m.
Latics chairman Dave Whelan said on Tuesday that an initial bid of £5m was short of their valuation but they were prepared to sell for the right price.
Burnley had also been keen but dropped their interest.
McArthur, who has made 155 appearances for the Latics since arriving from Scottish side Hamilton Academical in 2010, has scored one goal and started all four of Wigan's Championship matches to date this season.
