AFC Telford United have signed Kidderminster Harriers midfielder Josh O'Keefe on a month's loan.

It is the second successive deadline day move for O'Keefe, who only joined Harriers in January from Hereford.

He becomes the latest former Southport player to join the Bucks, having made seven appearances on loan under Telford boss Liam Watson when he was still in charge at Haig Avenue in 2012.

O'Keefe is also the third ex-Hereford player signed by Watson this summer.

Telford's summer signings

Goalkeeper - Jonathan Hedge (Grimsby Town)

Defenders - Steve Akrigg (Southport), Rod McDonald (Hereford United), Kristian Platt (Stalybridge Celtic)

Midfielders - Jordan Deacey (Bradford Park Avenue), Josh Hancock (Witton Albion - now loaned back to Witton), Josh O'Keefe (loan))

Striker - Sam Smith (Hereford United)

He follows centre-half Rod McDonald and striker Sam Smith, who signed for Telford back in June.

The son of former Blackburn Rovers keeper Vince O'Keefe, he enjoyed a successful spell at Hereford, hitting 16 goals in 55 appearances before being signed by then Harriers boss Andy Thorn in January.

Although he still figured last season after Thorn's sacking in March, he did not score in 17 appearances and is yet to play game under current Harriers boss Gary Whild this term.

He could make his Telford debut at home to fellow strugglers Dover Athletic on Saturday.

The Bucks are still to win this season, having picked up just two points from their first five matches, including last Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Dartford.
