Ronaldo now has 54 goals in 53 Champions League appearances for Real Madrid

Cristiano Ronaldo missed and scored a penalty as Real Madrid came from behind to beat Bulgarian side Ludogorets in the Champions League.

Marcelinho headed in after the European champions failed to clear Fabio Espinho's corner after eight minutes.

Two minutes later Ronaldo had his penalty saved by Vladislav Stoyanov but he did manage to convert another from the spot midway through the first half.

Karim Benzema sealed an unconvincing win when he headed in Marcelo's cross.

Real Madrid move on to six points in Group B with Liverpool and Basel both on three points.

Arda Turan scored four goals in last year's tournament for finalists Atletico Madrid

Arda Turan's second-half effort gave Atletico Madrid a 1-0 win over Juventus in Group A.

Repeat for European champions Real?

Karim Benzema has scored eight and created six goals in his last 14 Champions League appearances but the Spanish side have now only kept two clean sheets in their last 14 Champions League away matches.

The Italian visitors controlled the match but conceded for the first time this season when Turan stabbed in from Juanfran Torres's cross.

Malmo's 2-0 win over Olympiakos means that all four teams in the group are now on three points.

Adrian Ramos joined Borussia Dortmund from Hertha Berlin in the summer

Former Manchester United midfielder Shinji Kagawa set up two goals as Borussia Dortmund secured a 3-0 win at Anderlecht to move on to six points from their two matches in Group D. Kagawa fed Ciro Immobile to give the visitors the lead.

Adrian Ramos finished from Lukasz Piszczek's pass to put the visitors 2-0 up before Kagawa laid on a second goal for Ramos to make it three.

Arsenal eased to a 4-1 win in Group D's other match thanks to a Danny Welbeck hat-trick.

Zenit St Petersburg and Monaco remain level on four points at the top of Group C following their goalless draw.

In the other game in that group, Stefan Kiessling, Son Heung-min and Hakan Calhanoglu were on target for Bayer Leverkusen's 3-1 win over Benfica. Eduardo Salvio pulled one back for the Portuguese side.
