Gianvito Plasmati: Leyton Orient sign Italian striker

Leyton Orient have signed Italian free-agent striker Gianvito Plasmati on a contract to the end of the season, subject to international clearance.

The 31-year-old has been without a club since leaving Siena earlier this year.

Plasmati, who is 6ft 6ins tall, worked his way up through the Italian leagues before making his Serie A debut with Catania in 2007.

He joins an Orient side currently 20th in the League One table after reaching the play-off final last season.
