League One side Doncaster Rovers have signed Manchester United goalkeeper Sam Johnstone on loan until January.

The 21-year-old spent four months on loan at the Keepmoat Stadium last season, making 18 appearances.

Johnstone is likely to replace current first choice Jed Steer, who is set to return to parent club Aston Villa at the end of his three-month loan spell.

Paul Dickov's side are currently 20th in League One, one point above the relegation zone.
