Celtic midfielder Aleksandar Tonev will have his appeal against a charge of racially abusing Aberdeen's Shay Logan heard on 4 December.

The 24-year-old on-loan Aston Villa winger was handed a seven-match ban after being found guilty by the Scottish FA of "excessive misconduct".

Celtic's appeal allowed Tonev to be available for selection, but he has not played since the appeal was lodged.

The charge stems from the match against Aberdeen on 13 September.

Tonev, who is on a season-long loan, made his Celtic debut in the Glasgow side's 2-1 victory.

The Bulgarian Football Association has condemned the suspension imposed on Tonev, who has also been defended by manager Ronny Deila and captain Scott Brown.
