Danny Galbraith: Gillingham sign ex-Hibs winger on short-term deal

Galbraith played 63 games for Hibernian, only 18 of them starts, and scored one goal

Gillingham have signed former Hibernian winger Danny Galbraith.

The 24-year-old Scot, who was a free agent, has been given a deal until the end of the season after a fortnight training with the League One club.

He joined Manchester United from Hearts as a youngster, but later returned to Edinburgh, signing for Hibs in 2009.

Galbraith spent four years at Easter Road before being released after a number of injuries and more recently played for Irish side Limerick.

"We've had a good look at him. He can play on both sides and has good experience," Gillingham boss Peter Taylor told the club website., external

"He knows it's an opportunity for him to come and show what he can do."
