Burnley striker Danny Ings not for sale, says Sean Dyche

Burnley have no intention of selling top scorer Danny Ings in January, insists manager Sean Dyche.

Ings, 22, was voted Championship Player of the Year last season as the Clarets secured promotion to the Premier League and he has scored four goals this term.

The England Under-21 international is out of contract in the summer and Burnley are braced for approaches.

However, Dyche said: "The chairmen have come out and said he's going nowhere and I'm happy with that as a manager."

Ings returned from a hamstring injury in October and has scored in two of Burnley's three wins this season to help the Premier League's 18th-placed side stay within touching distance of safety.

"We have open dialogue with him and his agent," Dyche added.

"The club have made it quite clear how much they value the players we've got and we're in a good position cash-wise because we haven't spent a lot of money.

"If anything, we're thinking about adding to the squad."

Burnley are level on 15 points with 17th-placed Crystal Palace, but face tough fixtures against Liverpool, Manchester City and Newcastle over the busy festive period.
