Hallam Hope became the first Bury player to score a league hat-trick since August 1999 when he grabbed a treble against Portsmouth last season

Bury are set to sign Everton striker Hallam Hope for an undisclosed fee when the transfer window opens on Saturday.

The 20-year-old is in his second loan spell at the Shakers, and has now agreed a three-and-a-half year deal.

Hope netted five goals in eight games in a loan stint with the Shakers at the end of last season, but has yet to score in his seven outings this term.

"His potential is frightening and I love working with him," said manager David Flitcroft., external

"He adds power, speed, strength and potency to our squad. As a player and a person, he wants to improve on a daily basis."

The Manchester-born striker failed to make an appearance for Everton after progressing through their academy, and has had loan spells at Northampton and Sheffield Wednesday.
