Goals from Ryan Lowe and Danny Mayor gave Bury a second straight win, seeing off Mansfield at the JD Stadium.
After a run of 10 games without a goal, Lowe ended his drought when he was on hand to tap in the opener after Dimitar Evtimov had saved Hallam Hope's effort.
Simon Heslop and Junior Brown both fired over for Mansfield but then Mayor doubled the Shakers' lead, beating his man before finishing in the far corner.
The result saw Bury move back up to eighth in the League Two table.
Bury manager David Flitcroft told BBC Radio Manchester:
"I'm absolutely delighted. That was a representation of everything I want to bring to the Bury public.
"What I saw today was a technical team first half who outshone and outperformed Mansfield. They couldn't get anywhere near near us at times in the first half.
"Second half, when they locked onto us, it was a real battling performance. But I thought we carved them and we looked menacing at every opportunity going forward."
Mansfield Town boss Adam Murray told BBC Radio Nottingham:
"The first half was a 45 minutes that didn't reflect me as a person, there wasn't enough hunger, desire or willingness for anyone to do their own individual job.
"People know that will not be tolerated. It has been three weeks where people have been on trial to keep their shirt because it was always going to be the case that we would need to bring fresh faces into the group.
"My big point is that we haven't got the consistency, we haven't got a group that can do it week in and week out.
"If we did, then we would be in or around the top 10. We haven't and that is why we are where we are."
