Dundee have made Bulgarian defender Kostadin Gadzhalov their second signing of the January transfer window.

The 25-year-old centre-back, who was capped by his country at under-21 level, joins after a successful trial period at Dens Park.

Dundee have also signed midfielder Alex Harris on loan from Hibernian for six months, with striker Martin Boyle going in the opposite direction.

Gadzhalov, who can also play in a defensive midfield role, could feature in Sunday's game against Ross County after Dundee received international clearance.

He began his career with Botev Plovdiv before returning there after a spell with city rivals Lokomotiv Plovdiv.

Gadzhalov moved on again to Bdin Vidin and Etar 1924 then spent a season Dobrudzha Dobrich in the Bulgarian second tier.
