Millwall have signed Nottingham Forest defender Dan Harding on loan until the end of the season.

The 31-year-old, who joined Forest from Southampton in summer 2012, has made 10 appearances for the Reds this season but has not featured since November.

Harding began his career at Brighton & Hove Albion and has also has spells at Southampton, Leeds and Ipswich.

The left-back becomes Ian Holloway's second January signing, following the arrival of Paris Cowan-Hall at the Den.

Harding's move to south London comes after Lions left-back Scott Malone was given permission to speak to Cardiff City about a potential switch to Wales on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Millwall have released Josh Wright from his contract with the Championship club.

The 25-year-old, who had loan spells at Crawley and Leyton Orient earlier this season, made a total of 53 appearances for the club after joining from Scunthorpe in 2011.
