Portsmouth have completed the signing of striker Matt Tubbs on a two-and-a-half-year deal after he was released by Bournemouth.
Tubbs had been on loan at AFC Wimbledon but the Cherries recalled the forward.
The 30-year-old joined the Cherries in January 2012 and also had loan spells at Rotherham and Crawley since then.
"I hope it is a boost for everyone," Portsmouth manager Andy Awford told BBC Radio Solent. "I'm glad it's done and he's in."
Tubbs, who arrived at Dean Court in 2012 for a club-record fee thought to be worth £800,000, has scored 15 goals in 30 appearances for AFC Wimbledon this season and Awford believes his arrival will spark a turnaround in fortunes for the League Two club.
"His record is there for everyone to see and I'm looking forward to him coming in and scoring some goals and us moving up the table," Awford added.
"We've now got a proven goalscorer in the ranks and the leading scorer in the league.
"For the amount of chances we create I feel we should have more goals, hence bringing in Matt."
