Cardiff City's Norwegian striker Jo Inge Berget has left the club by mutual consent.

The 24-year-old, signed from Molde by former Bluebirds manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer a year ago, has just returned from a six-month loan spell at Celtic.

Berget made one Premier League substitute appearance for Cardiff and one start in the FA Cup.

He follows Juan Cala, Mats Moeller Daehli, Magnus Wolf Eikrem and Javi Guerra in leaving Cardiff.

Bluebirds boss Russell Slade has signed striker Alex Revell and left-back Scott Malone this January.
