Drenthe was once a team-mate of Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid
Former Real Madrid winger Royston Drenthe has left Reading to join Turkish side Kayseri Erciyesspor.
The 27-year-old made 24 appearances for the Royals after signing from Russian side Alania Vladikavkaz in 2013.
Drenthe spent the first half of this season on loan at Sheffield Wednesday, making 15 appearances for the Owls.
"Royston is without doubt a talented player but sometimes transfers don't deliver what they promise," said Reading boss Steve Clarke.
"That's been the case for Royston at Reading so it's best for both parties that he moves on and we wish him well for the future."
Drenthe, who also had a spell in the Premier League while on loan at Everton, has been capped once by the Netherlands.
