Joe Skarz: Oxford United sign ex-Rotherham United defender

Joe Skarz began his career at Huddersfield before moving to Bury in 2010

Oxford United have signed left-back Joe Skarz on a free transfer.

The 25-year-old had left Championship side Rotherham United by mutual consent on Friday, having originally joined the Millers in the summer of 2013.

Skarz was part of the team which won the League One play-off final last May, but he has been limited to 20 appearances this season, with only one of those coming since November.

The length of Skarz's contract with Oxford has not been disclosed.
