Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa has collected five yellow cards in 20 appearances for Roma this season
Newcastle United defender Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa has signed for Italian club Roma on a permanent deal for £5.5m.
The 25-year-old joined the Serie A club on loan in September and has made 20 appearances for Rudi Garcia's team.
The France international signed a five-and-a-half-year contract when he moved to St James' Park from Montpellier in 2013 for £6.7m.
Yanga-Mbiwa made 46 appearances for Newcastle under previous manager Alan Pardew.
