St Mirren have signed forward Alan Gow on a deal until the end of the season.

The 32-year-old had been training with the Buddies and played in last week's friendly defeat by New York City.

The Scotland B cap played for several Scottish clubs, including Falkirk and Rangers, before spells in England and back in his homeland.

"Subject to international clearance, Alan will go into the squad for tomorrow's Premiership match away to Aberdeen," said the St Mirren website., external

Gow began his career with Clydebank before moving on to Airdrie United, Falkirk, Rangers, Plymouth Argyle, Motherwell and Notts County before a spell in India with East Bengal.

He returned to England to join Exeter City in 2012 but ended last season on loan to League Two rivals Bristol Rovers.

Gow also had loan spells during his career with Blackpool, Norwich City and Hibernian.
