League Two Burton Albion have signed striker Mickael Antoine-Curier on a deal until the end of the season.

The 31-year-old Guadeloupe international has been training with the Brewers after being released by Scottish club Hamilton Academical, where he scored eight goals this term.

Boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink said: "He is a big player like Jacob Blyth which is what we need after Jacob's injury,"

Antoine-Curier has also had spells with six other English league clubs.

He started his career with Paris Saint-Germain before playing youth team football with Preston North End and Nottingham Forest.

Antoine-Curier made his league debut with Brentford in March 2003 and had short spells at Oldham, Rochdale, Sheffield Wednesday, Notts County and Grimsby.

The last of his eight goals in the Scottish Premier League this season came on 1 January, in Hamilton's 5-0 win over Motherwell.
