Chris Wood: Leicester City striker joins Ipswich on loan

Leicester City striker Chris Wood has scored 20 goals in 62 games for the Foxes, but has found the net just once this season

Ipswich Town have signed New Zealand international striker Chris Wood on loan from Premier League side Leicester City until the end of the season.

The 23-year-old has made nine appearances for the Foxes this season, but has only started one game.

Wood, whose career has now taken in stops at eight clubs, joined Leicester from West Brom in January 2013.

He has scored just once this term, getting the equaliser in a 2-2 draw with Everton in August.

The former West Brom youngster could make his Ipswich debut in the East Anglian derby game at Norwich on Sunday.
