Istria Cup: Wales Women 0-1 France B

Jayne Ludlow's first game as Wales Women manager ended in defeat as France B won 1-0 in the Istria Cup in Croatia.

Helen Ward, who replaced the injured Natasha Harding early in the game, struck the crossbar with a header from Sarah Wiltshire's cross.

Marina Makanza scored the only goal of the game after 38 minutes to give France B a winning start in Group C.

Wales' next game on Friday will be against Bosnia-Hercegovina, who were beaten 1-0 by Costa Rica.
