Swansea City midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson is fit to face former club Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday night.

The 25-year-old Iceland international missed last weekend's 1-0 win at Burnley with a hamstring strain.

But Sigurdsson is now set to feature at White Hart Lane as eighth-placed Swans try to catch Spurs in seventh spot.

"He's been back in training, trained this week, so we're looking for him to come back into the squad for sure," confirmed Swansea manager Garry Monk.

Sigurdsson has scored six goals in 25 Swansea appearances this season.

As well as Sigurdsson, Swansea have former Tottenham full-back Kyle Naughton in their side after paying Spurs £5m for the 26-year-old in January.

"There's nothing quite like going back to a former club and the friends they have there and trying to show everyone what they were missing," Monk said.

"That's a point to prove - I'm sure they will. But they've got nothing to prove here, they're just working hard."

Monk is targeting a third straight Premier League win after back-to-back victories over Manchester United and Burnley.

"It's extremely difficult, Tottenham are a very good side and they're pushing for their own reasons and their own agendas," he added.

"But we're looking forward to it, it's a good game, a fantastic stadium against a good team and we had a great game here against them [when Spurs won 2-1 at Liberty Stadium in December] earlier in the season."
