Blackpool manager Lee Clark has revealed he wants their season to end and begin planning for next term.

The Tangerines sit bottom, 18 points from safety with nine games remaining and could be relegated on Saturday if they lose their next two matches and other results do not go their way.

The former Huddersfield and Birmingham boss saw his side beaten 4-0 at top-of-the-table Bournemouth on Saturday.

"I'm very angry, I'm furious," Clark, 42, told BBC Radio Lancashire.

"At half-time I was the most angry I've been. It's not acceptable and I'm not prepared to accept it.

"I wish the season was done, I wish it was over now and I could just start the rebuilding job straightaway."

Blackpool's travelling fans have seen six draws and 15 defeats on the road this season

It has been a disastrous campaign for the Seasiders, who began their season with only eight players and sacked Jose Riga after just four months in charge.

Last month, around 1,000 fans protested over the way the club is run by the Oyston family, while Owen Oyston and Karl Oyston have launched legal action against fan David Ragozzino and a web forum for libel.

Some Blackpool fans were spotted leaving early as they were 3-0 down at half-time at the Goldsands Stadium.

"I feel sorry for them [the fans]," added Clark. "It's been a shocking season for them from the first day of pre-season until now.

"They're loyal to the club. I've got a lot of time for football fans, it's how I grew up myself so I feel for them.

"We've got to try and get some wins from now until the end of the season and then just start the overhaul.

"It's not just on the playing side as there are other things in the football club - we've got to change."
