Crawley Town have signed former Charlton Athletic defender Kelly Youga on a deal until the end of the season.

The 29-year-old left-back was a free agent after leaving Chinese side Qingdao Hainiu.

Youga made 71 appearances for the Addicks between 2005 and 2011 and has also had brief spells at Yeovil, Ipswich and AFC Wimbledon.

"Kelly has been with us for a week or so and done well," Reds boss Dean Saunders told the club website., external

"He can cover left-back if anything happens to Ryan Dickson or Sonny Bradley."

Youga, a Central African Republic international, spent time on loan with Bristol City, Bradford and Scunthorpe during his stay at Charlton.

Subject to receiving international clearance, he will be eligible to make his debut for Crawley in Saturday's League One game at home to Gillingham.
