Hartlepool United 1-1 Accrington Stanley
- Published
Substitute Marlon Harewood netted an equaliser against Accrington that kept Hartlepool's survival hopes alive.
Harewood's 80th-minute header from Jordan Jones' cross cancelled out a spectacular half-volley from Stanley's Josh Windass before the break.
Pools, who would have dropped into the bottom two otherwise, might have won it but Scott Fenwick clipped over late on.
Goalkeeper Scott Flinders and Mirfin combined to keep out Piero Mingoia's shot and ensure a point for Pools.
Tranmere and Cheltenham occupy the relegation places, while Pools are a point above the latter with three games to play.
Eight players, four from each side, were booked by referee Jeremy Simpson in total as tempers boiled.
