Morecambe release eight as Ellison & Fleming sign new deals

Jim Bentley spent nine years as a player at Morecambe before becoming manager

Morecambe have released eight players, with Padraig Amond, Mark Hughes, Andy Wright, Ryan Williams, Jack Sampson, Declan Watson, Will Bell and Marcus Marshall all leaving the club.

Kevin Ellison and Andy Fleming have both agreed new one-year deals. Fleming has the option of a second year.

Manager Jim Bentley is in negotiations with Andreas Arestidou and Chris Doyle, while Stewart Drummond has retired.

"We thank them all for their dedication," said Bentley.
