Declan McManus: Fleetwood Town sign Aberdeen striker

Declan McManus was named Scottish League One player of the year this season

League One side Fleetwood Town have agreed to sign striker Declan McManus from Aberdeen on a free transfer on a three-year deal.

The 20-year-old had been on a season-long loan to Scottish League One side Greenock Morton, where his 23 goals helped them to the title.

The Scotland Under-21 international was out of contract at Pittodrie and had turned down a new deal.

He is the first signing made by boss Graham Alexander ahead of next season.
